The black color weights have an additional feature because they are an “oxydic black.” What makes the oxydic black weights truly amazing is that the color is oxidized to be black (i.e. it is not painted on). It looks similar to a matte black color, but the progress is different from the painted color. By using this process, the color is permanent which means the weight cannot chip!
